Overview:
While the LAZ-7S "Larkin" is a capable platform, the need for a heavier punch was still
called for. A few design iterations were went over, but the reoccurring issue of
insufficient speed or armor kept being brought up. In the end, it was decided to forgo both
to focus on heavy firepower above all. In comes the ENS-14S "Eminus." Slower than the
"Larkin," and having a similar armor layout, some would consider the "Eminus" a heavier and
more expensive version of the Battlemech. However that argument is promptly shutdown once
the weapons carried by the "Eminus" is brought into conversation. With every hardpoint
slaved to the same advanced targeting computer as the Larkin, it features unnerving accuracy
even to long ranges. Well positioned "Eminus" 'mechs have killed armored pushes and
Battlemechs in equal measure before enemies could enter their own effective firing ranges. A
interesting quirk developed from using the same targeting computer as its lighter sibling,
the Phoenix 5.5 has been known to "get angry" with pilots that miss shots, often experienced
as a "grumbling noise" or "nipping pain" through their neurohelmet connection. While an
unsubstantiated claim, nevertheless, SMA recommends pilots with above average gunnery to
avoid any discomfort.
