Variants:
    It came as a great shock when Marian Hegemony forces were noted to be fielding a new, very
    fast, well-armed and very well armored assault BattleMech during their invasion of the Free
    Worlds League late in the Dark Age. Even more surprising was the realization that it was a
    variant of the Rim Worlds Republic’s Rampage.
    
    Very little has been confirmed about exactly how or when the Marian Hegemony acquired the
    specifications of the design, much less how they began producing it, or the secrecy they
    were able to maintain around it. But it is quickly garnering a fearsome reputation on the
    battlefields on which it has appeared. It is known to duplicate much of the old 5G model,
    but its energy weapons appear to have greater range, and at times, it has been noted to use
    infernos or fragmentation short-range missiles depending on the mission parameters.
