Overview:
KLR-1789, the "Kingslayer". The heaviest Battlemech to come out of the "Crystal Keep"
forges, there is no argument that this was one of its most successful models produced.
Comfortable at engaging at any range, the Kingslayer truly shines once it has entered close
combat. A maneuver coined by SMA's sales reps as the "decapitating strike", at close range
the Kingslayer can fire it’s Heavy Gauss Rifle and 3 VSPLs while remaining heat neutral.
While an enticing prospect, in truth the ranges of these weapons do not match nicely and
requires the Mechwarrior to choose one or the other when closing range on their target.
Despite what is either a design oversight, or a marketing team out of the loop, the
Kingslayer is still a very dangerous Battlemech.
