You may want to reconsider how designs are posted to the Design Forum. Instead of a toggle checkmark, change it to a button that only becomes active AFTER a design has been saved and validated. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

It's unchecked by default, meaning a user has to deliberately check it. And the only way to SAVE a design is with a clean validation (no errors). Not sure I like the idea of having to click a second button after the first.
I don't think a design re-appearing in the same thread is that confusing once you understand why it's happening. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I think the checkmark stays after you hit save.
I personally don't mind it responding in the same thread, wish Omnis could be set to do that. lol. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

I swear it's checked on by default.
But that might just be me filling out variants of omnimechs carrying over after I shared the base configurstion.

Correct. For new units or when you press Reset, it will not be checked. But if you're loading a design, it will inherit that design's Post to Forums state. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

This person posted the same design 20 times working on revisions. www.mordel.net/barandgrill.php?redirect=viewtopic&t=13666
Please set designs by default as private or make it a purposeful action to post a design to the forum. Or both. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

So is the suggestion possibly to uncheck the box after each save? That would be the easiest thing to do. Anither option is to "edit" or replace the first post with the updated save, but only if there were no replies to it. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I've decided to implement the more complicated solution because I like it better! _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
