Not really. The Inner Sphere one especially.
The only reason some might consider the Clan version doing so is that it lacks only one point of range and three heat from being a one ton Inner Sphere large laser.
From that aspect, the clan one might be considered overpowered.

Definitely does not come close to breaking the game. If it did, you'd see munchkin designs boasting loads of them. And sure, you get them occasionally, but nowhere near the quantities you'd expect from a game-breaker. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
