==Overview:==
The Titan was created for one purpose. To provide cheap, effective fire support for front
line units. With a cost of only 2,451,250 C-Bills, this unit is a steal for most worlds, who are unable to support large BattleMech garrisons due to their high cost! The whole design is based on the principle keep it cheap, make it last, and make it not to costly to maintain.
Developed on Bryant, at the Dostoevsky Mecha Works, the Titan is a rare bird indeed. However, it has begun to pay off by brining badly needed C-Bills into Czar Nicholas' coffers, and also allowing him to set up BattleMech defenses across his world. Many compare the Titan to the World War II Sherman Tank, not as good as the Panzers it went up against, but good enough to get the job done, and enough of them to take the losses to do it.
==Capabilities:==
Strong armor, good offensive punch, and mediocure speed are the calling cards of this cheap machine. Almost any BattleMech can defeat this unit in one on one combat, however, the Titan is not meant to face any BattleMech alone.
The one advantage this unit offers is cheapness and availability. Able to be assembled quickly, and even serviced in almost any world, no matter how poor, the Titan can expect to be seen in large numbers whereever it goes.
The other advantage it has is survivability in the toughest enviornments. The core computer of the design actually uses basic radiotube systems for its programing. Althought very limited in function, the machine is actually able to perform very well with limited assembly programing, meaning that this is the first BattleMech with FRESHLY PROGRAMMED SYSTEMS! Not just copies of other systems. This is also interesting because the threat of nuclear weapons has been on the rise in recent years. The radio tube design is less succebtable to EMP wiping and actually makes the computer system fairly cheap to remain opperational.
