Overview:
    Desiring to produce the ultimate scout, Republic engineers began contemplating what would
    become known as the Epiphany BattelMech. Wanting to use the latest, most advanced
    technology, few would realize what a boondangle they would come to create until it was too
    late. Various desires and requirements were put forth, and every effort was made to include
    them. In the end, billions of credits were spent in research, design and construction of
    what would end up being an almost useless design, but the right palms were greased, bribed
    or seduced and blackmailed so that an entire battalion of these machines were produced in
    the waning days of the Republic. But those ?Mechs would soon disappear, with some saying
    that when their initial pilots all turned on their Chameleon Light Polarization Shields, at
    the same time, they vanished from sight, only for a vast hand of light to reach out from the
    heavens and strike down the location in which they once stood. What actually happened to
    them is anyone?s guess.
    
    Not that anyone actually cares enough to give it even a first thought.
