    From newcomer Thayros Battletech Systems the Bushranger is designed from the ground up the
    the discerning mercenary unit.
    
    Built on the propriety TBS - M1 Chassis the Bushranger features 11 tons of Laser Light
    Standard armor, 4 Diverse Optics Type 20 medium class lasers, a Holly LRM-5 and a heavy
    hitting Defiance Type J AC/5 the Bushranger can stand up and deal with any threat.

    Thayros Battletech Systems was founded in 3040 by Trevor Thayros. Stumbling across a
    abandoned but functional factory, and down on his luck as a merc, he decided to claim the
    factory and start the company.
    
    As his first effort Thayros created the Bushranger. Designed from the ground up to be a
    versatile, cheep, line mech for mercenaries initially ignored because of its low tech base
    by the successor states (who were more interested in the bleeding tech revolution happening
    thought the inner sphere) small merc companies were the biggest buyers of the Bushranger.
    
    Despite being popular Thayros struggled to stay afloat and was almost bankrupt until his
    luck changed in 3050.
    
    With losses mounting for the successor states the Lyran Commonwealth put in a massive order
    for the Bushranger. This was followed by more orders from all over the inner sphere turned
    the company around.

Variants:
    BSR-8B - This variant was designed in May 3050. The Lyran's requested, as part of their
    order, an ammunition independent variant. This variant swapped out the LRM launcher and the
    AC/5 for an ER PPC and additional heatsinks. This variant was also popular with Merc units
    who appreciated the easier logistics of this version.
    
    BSR-8C - A close combat and light hunter variant designed in 3052, The 8C removed the LRM
    and AC/5 for 2 Holly Streak SRM 4 launches and a head mounted small laser.
    
    BSR-8RA - The first of two upgrades in 3093 based on the 8A. This version removes the LRM
    launcher but upgrades the internals to Endo Steel, the lasers to ER versions and the AC/5 to
    an ultra. A new Plant in the Federated Sons produced this version.
    
    BSR-8RB - The second upgrade in 3093 based on the 8B, this version replaced the lasers with
    x-pulse versions and adds double heatsinks and an light PPC
