Hi! My son is creating several 'Mechs in his spare time, to use in our Alpha Strike games.
According to the Alpha Strike conversion rules, a unit received the LRM special if its LRMs can deliver 1 or more points of damage at medium range.
My son just designed a Clan Omnimech equipped with (aside from the rest) a LRM 20 and a LRM 5, both with Artemis IV FCS. The system correctly reports damage in the medium bracket as 1.6 and 0.4, respectively, for the two LRMs. Accordingly, it received the IF2 special but surprisingly it doesn't receive any LRM special.
Maybe there is some special rule I missed, but to me this seems an error. The LRM 20 alone should be enough to bestow it the LRM special.

Conversion is not an easy thing, but there's actually a footnote in the conversion tables in Alpha Strike Companion that covers this scenario. It states:
"LRMs and SRMs using Artemis-improved damage values cannot apply those values to the LRM or SRM special."
That essentially means you don't get that special because you have an Artemis-equipped launcher, and thus your damage values are higher because they are based off the fact you are using Artemis ammo with the launcher.
