Yessiree, Talen and I had a second go at it and this time things turned out a little different. No lucky stinking DFA attacks to knock out ol' Gangrene, just pure laser fire to wreak havoc across the land. It was 4-way FFA game with me, Talen, and two friends. My two friends went for each other, leaving me and Talen to duke it out. I had a 3025 Commando and a 1G Gallowglas (3/4), while Talen had a 3050 Javelin and a 3050 Warhammer (3/3). Talen and I basically walked up to each other and had a good ol' slug fest toe-to-toe. Through deft maneuvering and skill, and the fact that I won intitiative over Talen every turn, I managed to destroy the Warhammer at the cost of most of my Gallowglas'es armor.
I then proceeded to hide my Gallowglas in the depth 2 water, when Talen got initiative, so that he could not jump behind it. I was trying to hold out until my Commando could show up and put some pressure on the Javelin. You see, I had sent it to the other side of the board to tussle with my two friends (because being a punk is fun). Unfortunately they decided to team up and shot a leg and arm off my Commando, hunted down Talen's Javelin, and then blasted the head of my half-submerged Gallowglas when it came out of hiding. That wasn't very nice.
But at least I blasted Talen.

Heh...yeah. Tis how it went fellas. Only he forgot to tell you that he was using, what he (and his friends) willingly refer to as the "cheater dice".
All in all it was a fun match, but i eneded the game with zero kills. Pretty sad fate, really. Heh, at least I scared his Gallowglas into hiding from a Jaevelin...that was worth it.

Just as a side note: they are not actually cheat dice. They came with my 3rd or 4th edition, if I remember correctly. Its just that I have a knack for rolling high numbers with this particular pair of dice.
I also have a pair of "jinxed" dice. Whoever uses them generally has a bad day. I should have given them to Talen.

I know it didn't come from Battlespace. It might have come from a used Citytech 2nd Edition I purchased. Since I don't mix dice from different systems I'm sure it had to come from a Btech product.

Well, he still could have jumped behind your 'mech, even if you were in water. He just couldn't have jumped out. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

You can get two red Btrech dice from a box set, you just have to buy more than one box set like I did way back when. Those box set dice, red or otherwise, were special hit dice. I still regret losing mine because they could always be counted on to roll more head hits than any other dice I had, snake eyes too. _________________ "Those who beat their guns into plows will plow for those with guns..." -Thomas Jefferson

He could jump behind me. He just couldn't shoot me because there was no LOS.
