Well, they can at least harass the infantry. This thing can't do even that well. It can do some running, but that's about it. 1V Locust is far more useful. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

It would be just a scout with some self-defence lasers. So is the Locust, but the Locust also has triple the reach and a capacity to remove infantry if it has to. If it used only a 0.5 ton ammo bin it would also match the armour coverage, although third MG instead of those three points would be far more useful. If you are affraid of ammo explosion you could go for a single flamer instead and keep the ML to prevent the 'Mech from having to close on the target and you can kick the speed up to 9/14. It does two less points of damage, but has more utility. Small lasers are just bad most of the time. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

Well, it's not always an AC/20 that you have to deal with. Sometimes it's a Spider or a bunch of Savanah Masters on a prowl. Heck even a SRM turret around the objective. And even with an AC/20 you had better fought it from 6-9 hexes where you'll be protected by the movement modifiers rather than having to close in 3 hexes where the odds are far less favourable. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!
