Possibly stupid question, but I've been looking for an answer... What the heck is the point of this thing? It's on the LAM record sheets, but as far as I can tell, the rules don't reference it at all. So, what is it used for?

Its a really simple concept that is a pain to track on pen and paper and hard to describe. Its down right intuitive if you play it on Megamek because you can SEE the effect of your movement.
