Ok so I made this new Mercenary unit and I don't have any rules for if my pilots lower their pilot/gunnery skill after a campaign.
Another thing is Sarkkahn wants to know if he deserves a higher pay than standard mechbunnies or not cuz he's a leutenant and commands a forth of my unit (I think he doesn't deserve squat cuz he keeps breaking my minis.)
So just another problem that I have because I can't get barely any rulebooks from the only store in town that has anything battletech.

FM:Mercenaries might be a good place to start.

The FM: Mercs covers the skill improvement rules to some degree, but you can also get them in the Mechwarrior rulebooks (2nd or 3rd Edition, whichever you prefer). The basic rules for Battletech also has a system for improving skills. It all depends on how you play battletech (RPG or strictlt tabletop or something in between).
As far as pay goes, yes, Lieutenants normally are paid more, but who gets paid what is up to the person who controls the purse strings, usually the CO or unit owner. Some units go by a set amount per month, while some go by the share or percentage system (everyone gets so many shares of the profits based on whatever criteria are decided on).
Hope this helps

The FM:Mercs covers the skill advancements up until you go and do actuall contracts and campaigns, and I don't have any of the Mechwarrior books, and the local stores don't have it so i'm gonna have to order it but I kinda need the rules now.

The BMR suggests the following system: each pilot/crew/squad that survives a table-top scenario gets 1 xp. In addition, both sides have to award one of the enemy units an extra xp, based on whatever criteria they feel like using It would be polite to give the extra point to the enemy who caused you the most grief. Gaining skills: lowering your Piloting costs 4 xp, while Gunnery costs 8 xp. And of course, some units don`t have both skills.

They were all glued right. And in the 2 days that I brought my stuff over there I have 2 arms broken off, 1 leg, 1 misc., and a my Dasher cut in half. That is the tally that I can remember and there better not be any whole mechs lost again.

hey like I said Its my brother not me last time he was using them for a different stupid game that had nothing to do with battletech and lost them. This time he shoped the dasher in half and droped them all and broke the arms and stuff. Also Since you were over I only used the two plastic ones that way you cant say I did anything to them.
