I'm surprised there's not been at least one person making any comments about the new boxed sets. I haven't gotten my AGoAC boxed set yet, but the Beginner Box is pretty sweet on its own.
Anyone else have any thoughts?

I find the box sets tend to be a trigger for certain folks. The ones that like to complain about anything and everything, that is!
My personal opinion is the minis look phenomenal. I'll be using them at the next convention I go to as a way to show them off. Same goes with the maps. I got two boxes of AGoAC; one to keep and one to play with. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

A lot of that going around with folks. Sounds like quite a few need to wait for round 2 of distribution. They clearly didn't produce anywhere near enough. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

I have seen a Battletech book (Battlemech Manual) in a gaming store in there for the first time since FASA released the brand, so I'm not really having high hopes to get my hands on one anytime soon. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!

My FLGS has sold all the sets they got in (well, except for the one AGoAC set that has been put up for me that I haven't gotten just yet).
And out of the over a dozen metal miniatures they had had on the shelves since I first started going there over 7.5 years ago, all but three have been sold since the boxed sets came out...and those three are a Mjolnir, a Watchman, and a Hyena, so it sort of makes sense...

The PC game has clearly made an impact on sales. We'll see if it continues to translate. Even if just a small percentage of folks buying it out of curiosity like it, then it's a win! _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
