You may have posted this and I missed it, but what mech out of RS:3067 is your's?
I was talking to Paul (Sjardijn) on IM last night and he showed me his (the PXH-4L Phoenix Hawk) and I think it's a great varient. I'd like to see your's and compare

As I said to AWAD (on the thread you locked up  ), mine is the Marauder-9S...
Not exactly what most might think of when they think Lyran Marauder, but I have plans for it in my fanfic...

That one looks pretty good too
I'd use Paul's over your's as I go for quicker mechs, but your twin ERPPCs and 10x look very tempting too

Heat can be a tad rough, but for Marauder pilots, that's nothing new...
I wanted to get a Gauss on there, but with everything else, that just wasn't possible without an XL, and I didn't want to go that route...I wanted the light engine on it...
In hindsight, I could possibly have used a light gauss, but then you lose the critseeeking of the LB...

I think a Gauss or LGauss would take away from the design.
Is there fluff for it?

Only a bit, and primarily in my head as I've never gotten around to typing it up in HMP...I had to make another design for it though...
Ever wondered what the REAL Star League era Marauder looked like?
Well...the 9S is a slightly moddied version of it...changed so the 300 XL used in the original version could go for more Dragon Fires and the like, while many the 300 light engines went to this...
It is designed to be a command 'Mech or used as a hunter/killer (or both...a command 'Mech of a hunter/killer unit)...that's what the sensor suite is for...
I threw in the flamer to add some anti-infantry ability as well as because most modern 'Mechs just don't mount that type of stuff anymore...
It's a very tight design...there just wasn't much else that I could do with it...not without compromising it somewhere...
I might try typing up the full fluff tomorrow afternoon or Saturday sometime...if not then, it won't be until the following weekend as I'll be out of the state and away from my computer from Sunday to Friday sometime (have to take a training class over in Wisconsin next week for my new job)...
