Hey everyone,
On the eve of running a new D&D 5th ed game, I find myself in a bit of trouble.
It is not very easy to find 6 square inches of land in Faerun (particularly the Sword Coast) that doens't have tons text behind it somewhere. Back in 3rd ed, there were tons of FR sourcebooks for the regions, but WotC seems slow to put any setting new books out in this vein?
Whats the solution? I can't really rely on 3ed source books, can I? Or does the Abeir-Toril re-split kinda just make the old 3rd ed stuff relevant again? _________________ "Historians exercise great power and some of them know it. I think you can easily ignore the 4E stuff asi it's divided from 3E by some 150 years that even may have not happened by now. You can always play within 3E books (Year of Wild Magic) and be safe were you can consult your books and start to spin a slightly different story or let the characters be somewhat close to some major event that the players know that will happen (and think that they even know how it will happen... oh how naive they are). I think you can just as well extrapolate from 2E books (Volo's guides etc.), just think of them as starting point and the people will get older, or be replaced by some relatives. _________________ The dragon NEVER sleeps!
