While I just pushed out some updates the other day, I wanted to get a few bug fixes I did the other day out as well. Nothing overly serious with these bugs, but I like to keep the site free of any known issues at all times. The updates are as follows:
Defects
- Fixed an issue where, after placing certain industrial equipment (e.g., Spot Welder) in a side torso on a quad, then switching the chassis to a biped, the unit was showing as valid and could be submitted. These pieces of equipment have a restriction where they can only be placed in arms on a biped, and torsos for a quad. That restriction is now enforced in the above scenario.
- Fixed an issue where the filter dialog would lose any of the currently selected fields and selections. This happened when the browser detected a resize event (e.g., viewable area changed in size). This was mostly an issue on tablets and mobile devices when you tried to enter any text into an option. The filter dialog has been changes so that the resize event does not reset your currently selected options.
- Fixed an issue where Artemis V critical slots were not being completely removed when the corresponding equipment was completely removed from the design. Previously if you added Artemis V to a missile launcher, then removed the launcher from the unit by selecting it and clicking the 'Remove Equipment' button on the Weapons & Equipment screen, only the first Artemis V critical slot was cleared, and the second remained.
- Fixed an issue where users who submitted a custom design, and left the 'Post to forums' box checked, were not getting credit for the post in their total posts count. Previously when a user submitted a design that was posted to the forums, the post count would not increase. This would lead to users who posted the design to the forum when submitting, but ended up having 0 total posts.
- Fixed an issue where jump jets on ultra-light units were not having any weight assigned to them. This has been corrected so each jump jet is now properly assigned a weight of 0.5 tons.
- Fixed an issue where, when designing the BASE configuration for an OmniMech, the user could not lower the quantity of heat sinks once it was set to a number other than the default. Previously if a user enter the number of heat sinks as 18; for example, they then couldn't lower it to 17 as the utility was considering the 18 heat sinks previously entered as "fixed". This has been updated so the user can freely change heat sink quantities when editing a BASE configuration of an OmniMech.
- Fixed an issue where, when viewing a design through the administrator module, the weapons & equipment portion of the TRO would show weird numbers such as "2 2 Jump Jets". This has been corrected so the TRO will now appear correctly (e.g., 2 Jump Jets) when viewing the design through the administrator module.
