Well, the match is lost and won, I have nothing to say, but that we are cursed, and that the FIFA wants the Korean team to win.
I hope Germany inflicts a crushing defeat on those cheating bastards.

There is no way the Germans can win against Korea, as the referees will ensure that Korea meets Senegal in the finals !

Sorry, I was momentarily distracted by thoughts of murdering the referee, the line judges, and the FIFA officials.
There are no words to describe how incensed we are here, stupidity on the parts of the refs and the organization can only go so far.
Germany can kiss the World Cup good bye, everythin is staged for a Brazil-Korea final.
It's clear as crystal, the FIFA wanted at least one Asiatic team to make it into the finals so it could spark interest in football in Asia and increase the revenues by broadcasting the games to the Asian countries.
I'm not usually fond of conspiracy theories, but the truth is that the World Cup has always been an Europe and South America affair. Come to think of it, France had also quite a bit of help from the refs in France 98, and it was a much needed shot in the arm to revitalize football in a country that has never been in the European top (Eurocup 84 notwithstanding). And there are great economic interests at play.
I'm not saying the FIFA tells the refs wich team to support, that would be too obvious, though the Devil knows what's going on backstage, but I can see deliberate incompetence at work by appointing ill-prepared refs of Third World Countries with negliglible football experience. Knowing fully that bad refs tend to err invariably on the side of the host (Korea, France) or the big teams (Brazil, Germany)
If the refs were stupid, I could accept a 50-50 proportion of mistakes, after all, bad refs hurt both teams. But considering the dismal record so far in this toruney, and the FIFA president Blatter was reelected among cries of corruption and suspected bribing...well, this stinks.
I was not expecting a fair ref, but I never thought they could be so blatant and shameless about it. It's so unjust to lose because the competition is rigged!!
Well, I'll step back from my soapbox adn will withdraw into a dark corner to sulk and sharpen my knives...

I usually find the whole "the officials are conspiring against my team" stuff too Machivellian for me, but in the case of the World Cup I think there should be some sort of investigation. The calls have been beyond terrible in many cases.
I read on Yahoo! that an Italian TV network was thinking of suing FIFA over the bad calls vs Italy as now that network will lose millions in revenues.

Go figure, and Egyptian ref, and two assistants from Trinidad and Tobago (small island in the armpit of nowhere) and Uganda (deep Africa)
The match against Germany is going to be a laugh riot...
...and why do I have the nagging suspicion that the Koreans are taking "something", considering the Chinese precedent on the Olympics, it wouldn't it be surprising.
By the way, as I write this, I have gotten messages of support from several guys of all the world on ICQ, unanimous agreement, the match was a farce.

Man Vampire I can belive and sense your pain.
Spain got ganked in two different games but at least beat Ireland. I did not watch the game but even ESPN here in the US thinks Spain got butt f@@ked without a thank you reach around. A bad call or denied goal is a nature of soccer but what happened was a travesty. I counted 3 times Spain got used.
On some other notes, that one Spanish guy that had his shot blocked, it was a weak looking shot. Better to try and rip the shot and miss vs a weak well aimed shot that is blocked.
Your big conspiracy theroy is off but you are right that host countries and the old big names always get the benefit of the doubt. In other words, one call in their favor and one against the other team. So does that mean in 2006 the Germans get double favors?
All I can say, the Americans lost, and it was fair, but close. The Italians lost and they whined, but they made their own bed. Spain lost and was screwed. Yet to see how your country reacts, hot blooded with honor or some other means.
But this does raise a point some Pourtugese writer in America stated. The rules of FIFA soccer need to change. He did a study and noticed the trend to more and more 1 goal decision games. Many of those one points coming on a call or a tie did not happen because of a call. Also more and more PK are decieding games. So he wanted the US to win the Cup for that would definitly propose some changes. But oif not them, some weak third world country may get the ball rolling.

I have seen it in TV. WHY HAD THIS STUPID PLAYER FROM SENEGAL STAND IN THE WAY OF THE BALL ! ?
If the ball hadnt hit him it would have been a perfectly legal goal.

Well, I`ve been busy celebrating the midsummer here, so I haven`t seen the games.
I only saw the score, and it looks like Spain lost. Tough luck, but football isn`t icehockey, where the referee checks stuff from the video if something is unclear. They probably should start with something like that, but it would require other changes too. Like stopping the watch when the ref whistles a foul etc.
