To ensure we Americans never offend anyone --- particularly fanatics
intent
on killing us-airport screeners will not be allowed to profile people.
They
will continue random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline
pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members
of
the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal
hips,
and Medal Of Honor winning former Governors. Let's pause a moment and
take
the following test.

(a) A pizza delivery boy
(b) Pee Wee Herman
(c) Geraldo Rivera making up for a slow news day
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

5) In 1985 the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked, and a 70 year
old American passenger was murdered and thrown overboard by:

(a) The Smurfs
(b) Davy Jones
(c) The Little Mermaid
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

6) In 1985 TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens, and a U.S.
Navy diver was murdered by:
(a) Captain Kid
(b) Charles Lindberg
(c) Mother Teresa
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

7) In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by:

(a) Scooby Doo
(b) The Tooth Fairy
(c) Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid who had a few sticks of dynamite
left over from the train job.
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1993 the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by:

(a) Richard Simmons
(b) Grandma Moses
(c) Michael Jordan
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

9) In 1998, the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by:

(a) Mr. Rogers
(b) Hillary, to distract attention from Wild Bill's women problems
(c) The World Wrestling Federation to promote its next Villain:
"Mustapha the
Merciless"

10) On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked and destroyed and thousands
of people were killed by:

(a) Bugs Bunny, Wiley E. Coyote, Daffy Duck, and Elmer Fudd

12) In 2002 reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and murdered by:
(a) Bonny and Clyde
(b) Captain Kangaroo
(c) Billy Graham
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

Hmmm . . . nope, no patterns anywhere to justify profiling that I can
see.

LOL, good one rarich. I think it is only logical to recognize that certain societies might be more intent on killing us than others. Profile away.

True, Nightmare, but if Washington wants to pull it's head out of it's ass and not have these kinds of problems, they have to think a little more militaristic and profile like Rarich proved.

Here's a question regarding that quiz; what does a muslim male extremist look like?

Islam can be followed by anyone of any geographical extraction. If you mean Arabic muslim extremists, fine, then say so. Merely pointing at a religion and saying "They've got to go" doesn't work. Ask the Germans.

I have to agree with Hardware. I have to point out that all of the terrorist muslims come from the middle east area. But not all muslims ARE from the middle east itself. And not all of them are fanatics.

but I see what Rarich is saying. Washington really does need to stop worry about upsetting people. After all. Was it not Benjamin Franklin who said "You can please some of the people all of the time. You can please all of the people some of the time. But you cannot please all of the people all of the time."

Granted, the Norwegians don't seem to be that active in the terrorist cells. Of course if I had to choose between shacking up in sauna with the Norwegian bikini team or driving a truck full or explosives into a building and hitting the deadman switch, I think I'd choose the sauna any day of the week.

Bikini Team? Since when does a young Norwegian girl have to join a "team" to wear one?

And does K. know your fantasizing about this? Driving the truck, I mean.

True, Muslims come from all genotypes, but the majority of the terrorists come from the Mediteranean/Arab background.

Profiling is using a set of rules that Identifies a pattern that a majority of a specific criminal will fit.

With finite resources profiling allows a large dent to be made. People just have to be polite about it, and common sense has to be used (the current 6-7$ an hour screeners in the airport probably lack a certain amount of common sense tho')

I don't think that would be a good answer. There are a lot of Muslims that are good Americans as well. We are looking for the criminals that are causing a problem, not going Psycho about ant creed or religion.

The terrorists we are dealing with are a religious fringe element gone wild. Kind of like if the KKK, Branch Davidians, or Christian Identity went international.

I would rather exhile those who are suspiciously inlvolved than imprision them, we do not need to waste money on guards then. If they do come back, then we can throw them in prision.

There are tens of thousands of born American Muslims that have Med/Arabic ancestory.

Where do you "exile" them too?
