can a 'Mech, that has swarming infantry grappled on it, go prone to squash them to death? note that this idea is so vain, i don't and won't recommend it ever.

um, chihawk, i'm not referring to the thrashing attack rules because they require a 'Mech to wildly move its arms and legs to attack infantry; i'm just referring to this squash attack.

Dropping the 'mech on the ground and rolling requires pretty much the same. It's partially controlled fall probably since the 'mechs are not made for this type of movement activities. Imagine that youare trying to roll in a better articulated excavator rather than in a well fitting armour and you are trying not to crush any sensors, antenae, and not to bend in any hatches, or gun barrels. One does not simply drop and roll in a battlemech!

It's the same thing game mechanically. There is no difference.
