For those of you who don't follow baseball. This season is heating up early with The Yankees, Rangers and Cardinals all vying to be the top of the leagues with 25 wins each. And the Reds, Giants, and Orioles hot on their tails at 23 games each.

Although it's way early, this season is shaping up to be the best in a long time. And a perfect time to become a baseball fan.

GO RANGERS!!!

Oh, and a heads up to the Boston Red Sox, (who the Rangers swept in their 3 game series) is making the Orioles nervous at 22 games so far.

Well, looks like the Red Sox may actually be the real deal. A few holes to patch up and we're good to go. On the flip side, you could look at a few things with the team and wonder if they can keep it up through the rest of the year.

Well, the regular season is almost over, and the post season is almost upon us. and so far, the Red Sox has clinched their division in the AL East. the Oakland A's (BOOO) and clinched the AL West, the Tigers have clinched a playoff berth.

But the big race in the AL is the wildcard slots, The Rays and the Indians and in the top slots with the Rangers hot on their tails (GO RANGERS!!) just one game is separating Texas from Cleveland.

If I had to bet on whose going to make it to the Series this year. I would have to go with the Boston Rex Sox and the Pittsburgh Pirates. And that would be a great series.

Sadly, My beloved Rangers just couldn't keep up. with two BIG slumps so late in the season. it isn't likely their do anything much. even if they get the wildcard. They just aren't consistent enough to challenge the Soxs or the A's Sad

The Sox haven't been hitting much the past couple of series, so not sure. They may be slumping at the wrong time. Cleveland and the A's have been very hot and Tampa appears to have turned it around. So we'll see!

Yep, looking good! They did have some issues with folks in their lineup, so hopefully that can be worked out by the next series. But if the pitching stays consistent and we do enough to grind out a few runs a game, it could go our way!

Move over 1969 New York Mets, You now have company. The 2013 Boston Red Sox. The second team in MLB history to go from worst to first in one year.

Ever since the Texas Rangers got eliminated from the post season. I've been rooting for Boston. I was rewarded big time when they took down the Cardinals 4 games to 2. And they did it in historic Fenway Park. Something that hasn't been done since 1948.

It was a great series. so many first, blown calls, great plays, not-so-great plays, and a few odd plays made the books. It's a series I'm going to buy once MLB releases the DVD. Definitely one for the record books.

It was actually the first time since 1918 that they took the series at Fenway Park.

I also heard the Twins were the only other team to go from worst to first.

Either way, I'm stoked! No way anyone saw this coming, and far beyond my wildest dreams at the start of the season.

The 69 Mets weren't worst to first, they finished 9th in the NL in front of Houston by a game or two.

The Twins were the first team in MLB to go from worst to first, in 1991. They were obviously the first (and until this season, only) team to go from worst to first and win the World Series. Ironically they beat Atlanta, who had also gone from worst to first.

I'm pretty sure no team in MLB has ever gone from absolute worst (meaning lowest winning percentage in its league) to first.

I stand corrected (on everything except the 1948..that was a typo)

For the longest time I always thought that the Mets where the only team that went from worst to first. I didn't know about the Twins. That's another I love about baseball, just when you think you know it all...your just learning.

Thanks folks
