Well, there's this one, Raven, for one. O
Every once in a blue moon, I'd shuttle in on the previous edition of Mordel's, but, I'll confess, when the whole Click-a-Mech thing started, I kinda walked away for a while.
Hard to say why. My online gaming had hit a snag, I was trying to re-establish a few things, job turmoils, blah blah blah, oh pity me and so on. But, all dogs land on their feet (hush), and, sure enough, I'm lookin' might good, these days. The job's gotten faboo, tho I wouldn't turn away my wannabe writing career of course, I'm getting my own house in a couple of months (yay! Wait. Expensive! Boo!) and I've even stuck a toe back into the dating pool. Got someone to take me to see Spider-Man and everything. Woo hoo!
In the gaming world, the re-release of Champions, a super hero game that I followed since it's infancy, has been catching my eye, I've still got a weakness for Shadowrun, of all things, and, of course, there's AD&D's latest incarnation, which is actually quite keen. Add in some personal weaknesses, like the World of Darkness stuff, and you can watch this poor lil' puppy get pulled all over in one go.
It looks as if Btech is pulling itself back up, tho, which is spiffy, and I look forward to where it's going to be going. Looks like that infamous 'Battletech d20' rumor was nothing but hot air, which is good. And I don't evn want to think about Click-a-Mech.
Now, there are some things I'd *like* to see, but I should probably toss them in the main boards, rather than the grill, for discussion. And my ongoing lack of ever reading any Battletech novels is probably a crime. AND I'm really in need of a haircut, because this butt-length stuff is really getting old. Need something more modern and snazzy. Celebrate the new me and all that.
Any lastbarkings while I'm thinking about it? Uhm uhm uhm. Think think think. My artwork still stinks? I'll have to try and break out the pencils again during my vacation, and see if I can whine at somebody long enough for them to do webcode stuff to stick my sketches up on a page, someplace.
-- Old Dog, near shedding season.
PS. OH! Gah! Nearly forgot! My Email is *still* what it used to be. For those in need:

Yes, Champions. I used to be head of theme for the lone Champions MUSH out there, running all the storylines, crafting all the villains, NPCs, and so on. A lot of work, but it was also two years worth of fun. Ended about two years ago, due to the people who ran it basicly all retiring at once, but, it was a hoot and a holler while it lasted.
I'm hoping to talk to Steve Long in the not so distant future, to see about possibly publishing some stuff through that side of things. But, with it being a new release, the game's got a lot of backlog to tear through, first. I'll let you know if anything is getting dogified, tho.
