OoC: a brief history of Fang
IC:
Fang started his MechWarrior career many many years ago, His first assignment was int he succession wars, piloting a Wolverine for the Federated Suns. He quickly rose to command a lance,and traded the Wolverine for a CDR-3R. After mixed results in various battles, he ended up dueling for a living, and made a poor living of it. Then came the Black Sheep. A more ragtag band of misfits you could not have imagined. First assignment was to remove a corrupt official from power on some backwater planet in the FWL. Things went bad after that, with a botched jump and some nightmare fighting on some unknown rock(OoC: Some sick twisted idea of the GM's who wanted to utilize his genestealer mini's from WWH40K.) Mech sized monsters and lots of xeno tech nearly wiped them out.Still, he and "Lucky" as he took to calling his mech, survived.Not too long after, the Black Sheep disbanded(OoC: read as moved onto more WH40K, less MW and BT) and he was left alone with a mech. He then jumped a transport and landed on the planet of Neveron(OoC: I know, not an official BT planet in the BT universe, but a BT based game none the less). He was welcomed with open arms into Clan Blood Spirit, and even achieved the rank of Star Captain quickly. At this time he was given the name of NewBlood. StCpt NewBlood fought well and served faithfully. Until an internal struggle, and then scandal rocked the Clan. Our hero stated he would no longer be a part of such goings on, and left the Clan. This sparked a planet wide war between the Clans, who were called into action by the ilKhan, and the HoC and allies. Several Clans refused to take action, citing the ridiculousness of the war. Those that did fight, were quickly put down. Once again, he was without home.Not long after, he was appointed to a position in the Cappellan Confederation.(OoC: at this point, RL took over and I had to park the mech/computer for awhile.) After a successful and enjoyable stint in CapCon, NewBLood then took the name WhiteFang, or Fang for short and joined the 12th Vegan Rangers, an elite fighting unit.(OoC: I am still in the 12th, in the gamma regiment for any who play Neveron. But for the purpose of this narrative, that will be left out) After several wars, the unit Fang was commanding was severely mauled, and he once again was left to wander. Making back to known IS space, he ended up on Solaris 7, a broken and lonely man. He fought in the arenas, never winning enough to purchase a mech of his own, or to buy passage to someplace better.Till one day, he came upon an abandoned warehouse in the then FedCom section of Solaris city. There it was, a beat up and very dusty CDR-3R, the Black Sheep insignia still visible through the years of grime and dirt....his old mech. And here is where Fang first wanders into....the Bar and Grill
