==Overview:==
Designed as a multi-role 'Mech, the original Shadow Hawk exceeded even
the designers' wildest expectations. Serving all house militaries, including
the Star League army, this medium BattleMech used its impressive array of
firepower with devastating effect. The Shadow Hawk was as adept at serving in
a heavy lance as it is in a recon lance. Given both its track record and
popularity, the push to redesign this venerable BattleMech was only natural.

In late 3059 After a extended trip to Terra the well known Doctor Banzai and
his team came back with the blue prints for a interesting new design for a
cannon. Based on the ancient Avenger cannon mounted in the old Terra A-10
Warthog ground attack aircraft, they set to work recreating it for battlemech,
vehicle and Aerospace use.


==Capabilities:==
The Shadow Hawk manufactured by Talon Industries makes extensive use of
the latest technologies, including endo steel. Dr. Banzai decided thatit would
be the first mech to utilize his new weapon the Avenger HVC. The engine used
is the standard CoreTek fusion plant that the 'Mech originally used; the
ability to increase the weight of weapons carried the designers decided to
bite the bullet and install an XL of the same rateing, though Dr Banzai has
misgivings abotu the XL the upgraded engine allowed for nearely maximum armor
to be installed and heavier weapons. The 'Mech's speed has not changed, though
its maneuverability has vastly improved with the addition of new jump jets.
The original Shadow Hawk had suffered a major handicap with its original armor
capacity, but the inclusion of Kallon's Unity Weave erased the problem that
the original Maximillian armor had created. Like many of these redesigns, the
Shadow Hawk's head assembly incorporates a full-cockpit ejection system. This
new version mounts 4 standarnd medium lasers, and for added long range fire
power a LRM 10 was mounted to the left shoulder. A Guardian ECM and a Active
probe were added to improve the emch electronics package.

==Variants:==
The Shadow hawk X 501 was designed to incorperate the new Avenger Mk2 HVC
developed by Dr. Banzai. It may and may not enter production, tests done by
team Banzai will determin the future of this design and all designs that carry
the Avenger MK2 HVC.



Game notes: The unique design of the weapon allows for a higher rate of fire.
The Avenger does 18 points per salvo that is broken up into groups of 6 point
clusters. consult the missle table for a flight of 3 missles (pg31 in the
master rules book) multiply damage by 6 and apply any damage in groups of 6
points normally. The weapon will explode when hit and will cause 5 points of
damage to the internal structure. the weapon has a integral +1 to hit. Can not
be combined with a TC. The Ammo is unaffected by case and will cook off as
normal.

Custom weapon variant looks nasty, PPC variant looks like Griffin with backup guns, but it has XL engine well, it can be justified by added guns and some added armor.

Yeah I dont really care for the XL varient and when I have some extra time I am going to rewrok it and fluff the other version.
