Light mechs are to be ignored and to be cheap so that you can buy more Atlases.
Its a decent weapons suite but why make it. Also your putting this in the DAVION light guards in 3067. When its an Lyran design by your own words. I checked my tech read outs. Marik and Liao make it, can you explain why either Davion or Lyran would refit the unit?

Because it sucked. Seems like a good reason to refit it to me. And because I needed to fluff it somehow, and I'm Davion. Actually, I seem to remember that the Jackal's fluff mentions at least some sales to the FedCom. So they'll have a few of them, at least. I didn't say that there were hundreds of them, after all. And where did I say that it's a Lyran design?
I also don't agree with upgrading all assaults before any lights. All that tech is no good if the enemy just runs away from your lumbering mostrosity, and you can't stick with the Javelin forever. Besides, the 3050 TRO seems to upgrade many 'Mechs, not just the assaults.
Some of my 'Mechs are truly works, which receive great effort and many revisions. And some, like this one, are just based on some idea, often an idea for improving a canon 'Mech.
