I like the reasoning behind the denial of ER weapons on this design. It just seems to run too hot and needs something to kill infantry.
TAG kind of seems out of place to me, because this is a decent scout mech. Why add something that means it can't fire its weapons.
The idea was to deploy this in a lance with other PHX-1s, or some Stingers, in order to provide infantry defense. If you run into a big cluster of infantry who are well dug in, this can light them up with the TAG and your artillery can finish the job with no risk to your 'mechs.

Realise you have to turn off all the rest of your guns to use it = BAD
Realising that on a hot design turning off your guns to call in the arty will cool you down = GOOD
Its both. Its a weapon I FREQUENTLY hate knowing I have. Its a calculated risk to use. The hotter the mech runs firing one of its brackets the more use it gets out of the TAG. As for how hot it needs to run before its useful. I've never found that number yet.
