I didn't say it was bad or unlikely or impossible. Can you imagine AFFS officers saying good things about the Combine building 'Mechs with targeting computers? Even if they're salvaged TCs, the AFFS would not be pleased. In the same way, I doubt they were pleased to discover that other people can build TSM now, since it was originally their secret. Or the Terran Hegemony suddenly finding out that the Lyrans have BattleMechs too. That's what I meant. It's bad from the point of view of the AFFS.
I'm sort of in the process of writing a fic, actually. It's from a Fed Suns POV for the most part, so I spend a lot of time in the FedSuns mindset (Combine bad, Confederation weak, etc etc). It seems to occasionally carry over into my posts. And quite often into my TRO fluff. I didn't say that it's bad to say in the fluff that it uses a salvaged TC. Just that the FedSuns won't be happy. Perhaps I could have phrased it better, since it wasn't interpreted as I meant it to be.

I'll have to agree that the FedSuns won't be happy.
All the more cause of things to degenerate even further eh?
Guess even without the Wobbies to mix things up, the Inner Sphere won't be seeing peace for a long while.
