==Overview:==
As the recent battles in the Chaos March and with Operation Bulldog have
shown the Free Worlds League military, the one place where their massive
industrial might is behind-the-times is with its aerospace assets. Most of the
airframe designs in use with the FWL military are older than their pilots, as
are many of the machines in which they fly.
The Raidance arose from the FWL's comission for an aerospace fighter that
can not only fill this need but that can also take advantage of the newer
technology the League has to offer. Its main armament is a light guass rifle
mounted in the nose. Able to do damage at extreme ranges, it is believed that
this weapon will take opposing aerospace assets by surprise. The weapon is
supported by twin ER Medium Lasers and an aft-mounted ER Small Laser.
The Raindance is only just now undergoing testing on Irian, but thus
far the FWL high command appears impressed enough with the machine to keep the
project going.
