==Overview:==
Given the power represented by the Longbow's massive arsenal of LRMs, it
was only a matter of time before the Clans decided to make use of those
Longbows in their arsenals. Surprisingly, both Clans Hell's Horses and Coyote
not only make use of this mech but they also have factories to produce it.
The LRM racks have been retained, giving the mech significant firepower.
The medium lasers have been upgraded to large pulses, providing a massive
increase in firepower. In addition, newer models of the Longbow IIC have been
given light machine guns in the legs to help ward off elementals.
To deal with the additional heat problems, several double heat sinks have
been placed onto the mech, some in the arms but mostly in the torsos. Even
with all this, however, the designers were able to drop the machine's weight
by a full 10 tons.

A handful of Longbow IICs have made their way into other Clans. Some of
the pilots in Clans that have ATMs are considering trading out their LRMs for
ATMs, but at this time we do not know if there is such an existing variant.
