since I am the greenest pilot in this type of "melee", is there any point system that ranks players as they eliminate or are eliminated by others? Or is this just for bragging rights at Mordel's Bar?

something tells me I better start contacting the green pilots...
which brings me to:
you mention that each one is their own team, but that doesn't mean wheeling and deeling behind the scenes is permitted. Are "Non-Aggression-Pacts" allowed to form lances/stars? Or is there a particular house rule where this is looked upon as dishonorable?

I prefer to believe the battles should be won on the field not back in the bedroom, doing what you can to gain allies...

The mech selection states that we may choose any level 1 or 2 tech mech. Does that include mechs from the 3055+ TRO's? And what about customs?

What he meant to say was mechs from any TRO that only have level 1 or level 2 equipment..
By published mechs, he means no customs..

I have a question you might consider silly, but (and trying not to get ahead of myself)
if you survive the first round, I assume you keep the same mech. Is this going to be payed campaign style where the damage carries over to the following round? if so, do we get a certain amount of $$$ or credits to fix them?
