List: i'd have to go with the Daishi.
3025: The Atlas, simply because It's the first 'mech I ever piloted, and in my second battle I rilled three headshots with the AC, And swatted the head of a wast that got too cloe to my fists, destroying an entire lance singlehandedly.

Probably the Marauder II. I like the look of the classic mech (not one of them Project Pheonix pansies..).
My second's the Atlas. Death's Head = Intimidating.. the big gun helps too..

In 3025, the Imp ranks highest in my book. That 'mech is a mechwarrior's nightmare to fight against. The Marauder II and the Atlas come closely on it's heels. The Awesome is also a fine 'mech, and threat to anything on two or four legs. The Steiner Banshee is also an honorable mention, although it's weak armor (for an assault 'mech) keep it out of the top contenders.
For the Clans I think the Masakari C is the most dangerous stock variant. The Daishi C and just about any Gladiator are deadly as well.

The Warhawk C is one of the Nastiest on the block, but I'd take the Jade Falcon Version of Bane. 8 LRM 15's.... Ouch....
