It's been a bit silent here lately, so I went digging through my directories of odd stuff. Here's one of the worst things I've come up with.

==Overview:==
A concept mech designed by engineering students at Coventry Metal Works, the
HLC is not likely to ever see production. In fact there's not even a
prototype, only blueprints and a 1/12 scale model. In appearance it resembles
an Archer with the Zeus LRM-module as a head.

==Capabilities:==
The HLC is intended as a fire-support mech, but carries less weapons than it
could. Toughness was a key requirement for the design assignment, more
important than raw firepower. Two RAC/2s and a LRM-15 with Artemis IV should
still be enough for a respectable presence on the battlefield.

==Battle History:==
None, although the scale model has defeated several other scale models in mock
battles. In one instance the model got it's head blown off and played dead
until the enemy was passing it by. A brutal physical engagement ensued, where
the model used it's two heavy fists to full advantage.

==Variants:==
If the mech ever gets to the prototype stage it's likely to be in a more
conservative form.

The first change would be dropping two tons of RAC ammo in order to install
two ER Medium Lasers as back-up weapons. The design team even left room for
them in the structure of the lower arms.

The other proposed change is dropping the Heavy-Duty Gyro, using maximum
standard armor instead of the Light FF and installing two ER MLs and Guardian
ECM. This is the most likely variant to actually go anywhere from the drawing
board.
