Austin, TX: 80 points (substantial Lyran Victory, even though Ronin's Falconer [Lyran] was up against my Hellspawn [Davion] and an Enfield). We ammassed a combined total of 20 head shots throughout the game. Also, it was a common agreement that I was MVP for the Austin one. However, Ronin's other ride, the Hussar, got shot out from under him (Guass to the head). The Davions would most likely have won had not our Bushwacker (which was helping to hold our flank against that one lance that could be deployed later) been taken out by a 2 to the center torso, buckling our flank.
I got an e-mail from the guy running the Austin one which stated the locations and which side won- Davion 10, Lyran 7.

Here in SE Michiganm Lobsterback had over 24 people show up. He had two tables running at once. Both of them were decisive Lyran victories.
Will fill in details later but all than mattered was we had 3 of the 2nd Guards still left and the Clint of the 7th Guards. Funny as hell that all the light mechs made it.
It was real touch and go but the one legged Fanfir of death was critcal, espically when the Bargest retreated on the 2nd turn.
Most important though was I still had both my mechs. The Commando and Uziel made it through. The commando did hide half the game
and some people bitched. Had my armor half cleaned off. No reason to give them easy points.
AWAD- Commander of the victorious Lyran Forces

A couple folks said that the best thing was their mechs didn't die....
Ummm the best thing is winning the scenario.
Second best is making your opponent die, and winning the scenario.
Third would be dying and winning the scenario.
The rest all suck..

That was 18 plinks in 13 rounds of play.
It was up to 22 by the time we called it....
and only 2 kills resulting.
Many more Mechwarrior hits, since we didn't consider those head shots.

Plinks can be just as dangerous. One time scored 4 head hits with a LBX 20 AC cluster shot. Needless to say. he faild the last con-check. Giving me the game.
Love those cluster shots.

For those of you looking for a great convention keep checking the Totalcon site for the next convention. There is B'tech being played in EVERY slot at the convention, and all are run by great GMs.
IMO worth flying in for.

Which game was this at? 22 is the exact number of head-shots from Austin.
