Hehehe, no we'll try to stick to canon variants for the 3005 and Clan units. And I've already given you your shiny golden Jenner in 3062. Is that cool with you?

Great Minds....

Well, at least we're piloting different MADs... the Timbies on the other hand, I use A for standard combat and D for limiting terrain/cities. I'm deadly with the D, but the A is far more versatile.

Well if you insist though by 3062 that ride had been supercided (the 3087 version is posted on the design forum) I would like to go with my clan mech though

Just a thought, maybe through the jump capable 4/6/4, 5/8/5 mechs all into one company and the useless footies into the other company. Mordel Excluded of course from the above statement. He gets whatever he wants.

As for the Panther its IS engine, heat sinks, frame and armour. As for the rest of it. Its a little cooler;). I just call it an IIC because with the fluff I wrote for it, its a valued member of various units. (WiE, Nova Cats, DCMS, Ghost Bears)

Maybe the Clan unit by stars, with our heaviest 15 in first Trinary, and lighter 15 in other trinary.

My units:

Well, in 3005 I'm not even in uniform yet, and my next ride will be a tank, but we'll pretend: Whitworth WH-1

3025: Valkyrie VLK-QA

3030: Whitworth WH-1

3055: Whitworth WH-X1 (stats below)

3062: Whitworth II WX-1 (possibly some additional upgrades)

3062 Clan: Vulture Prime

Stats:

Whitworth II WX-1
Tech Base: Inner Sphere Level 2
Tonnage: 45 tons
Engine: 4/6/4
Heatsinks 10 Double
Armor Factor: 136

Head: 3/9
CT: 14/17
CTR: 8
L/RT: 11/14
L/RTR: 7
Arm: 7/11
Leg: 11/19

Weapons:
2 LRM5: RT
2 LRM5: LT
2 LRM5Ammo: LT (CASE)
2 LRM5Ammo: RT (CASE)
2 ERMedLas: RA
2 ERMedLas: LA
1 MedLas: Head

2 JJ LL
2 JJ RL
2 DHS LT
1 DHS RT

Overview:
A non-standard upgrade concocted by several FedSuns techs on the planet Port Royal as the first garrison units came to the planet. The upgrade consisted of strengthening the mech chasis with salvaged parts to increase it's load bearing capability. Then the engine was upgraded. The LRM10s were removed in favor of 4 LRM5s for a more diverse weapons load and to enable more diverse target engagement. The ammunition stores were doubled and CASEd. The Arm medium lasers were replaced by the newer ER versions, and then a second ERMedLas was added to each arm. The armor was also given an upgrade (The primary, in addition to the ammunition upgrade, reason to reinforce the Chasis and engine)

The upgrade, though not commonly done, is still one of the better upgrades until mass production of the WTH-2. And the pilots of the WH-X1 versions wouldn't trade down.

Capabilities:
The WH-X1 was upgraded to suit for patrol and fire support against remaining clan and bondsman mechs on Port Royal. Normally paired with a mech equipped with TAG (or, if necessary, the ER MedLas on each arm can be reduced to carry Artemis, but WH-X1s are not usually in line to recieve that particular high level piece of equipment). Whitworth II pilots have been known to rip out their MedLas and replace it with a targetting computer or with TAG of their own.

The 4 LRM5 racks typically feed from four different magazines, two with Semi-intelligent missiles, 1 with Swarm, and one special (often a Thunder LRM). Some mechs have been loaded with mono-loads for special missions. During a particularly hectic defense, a Whitworth II pilot loaded all four bins with Thunder LRMs and laid down a broad swath of minefields in front of the advancing Bondsmen. Several enemy mechs were disabled and salvaged after the battle.

Deployment:
Mostly unigue to the less than two score Whitworths deployed to Port Arthur. They were designed with the particular parameters of putting down a fluid insurgency without the benefit of real omnimech technology. (The primary reason for the 4 LRM bins).

In the aftermath of the occupation, most have either moved on or been destroyed.

3005:
Actually I want to change my ride to the Wolverine 6M. While I love the Griffin GRF-1N, with its PPC, THe Wolverine hasa better variety of weapons, and bit more armor. If the Griffin had a slightly different loadout, it might be a different story, but a PPC and a LRM, don't know. A PPC and a SRM sounds a bit more logical to me, gives the mech some variety and versitlity at different ranges.

I might have to go with the Nightsky NGS-5T. Gotta love the hatchet, plus I'm a natural pilot, specializing in jump Capable Mechs. Otherwise I'll stick with the Chameleon CLN-7Z. Best armor of the 3 upgrades, and the weapon load is a bit better, good at all ranges, though could run a bit warm if not careful. Very effective none the less.

I'd have to go with either of the Following:
Madcat Pryde
or
Timberwolf D modified to have the 2 rear facing SSRM 6’s facing forward, talk about scary or remove the rear SSRM 6’s and add 5 JJs and either another ton of Ammo or an ERML or 2 ERSMs. I'm lenaing more towards the modifed D variant.

JJs on either one of these is just a scary thought. I love jumping mechs. I also love the Versitility of the Timberwolf. JJs make it even more so. I hae to disagree with bLackhand who said the JJs on the Jade Falcon version spoils a perfectly fine mech.

Hmm since you want 3025 varients the Battlemaster 1D.

As far as clan canon design (if I must), ugh they all stink. but the Timberwolf D is probably my favorite (with 1 minor change switching the rear firing SRM's to front firing SRM's.

Well, in most Clans, their forces aren’t actually organised like that. It is very much a case of Warrior before Machine. The units are based on teams of mechwarriors. It is (or, at least it was, so it is if it hasn’t been changed in the last years) very common to find ‘mechs of all sizes in a single star. So really: people, for the Clan force, just tell me whom you want to be your partner!

Do you know of the Timberwolf S? It should be in RS: 3060. It jumps, has pulse lasers and SRMs.

I’m reluctant to put down the Timberwolf Pryde – it’s kinda meant to be a unique design. And, well, I’m not noting specific mods on the Clan ‘mechs, so the Timberwolf D would be just that! I’ll let you decide. But check that Timby S

Is it that bad?
Which variant? Prime? A? Or, goodness, even D? (I know it won’t be B or C)

kinda wierd for a Hunchy to be part of a heavy and assault lance with Atlases and the what nots...

but hey they can be my bullet shield while i stride up and put an AC20 in their face. Unless the Atlas carries my Hunchy as a club, but that's another story.

Great now I have to figure out which mod..there are a bunch of them Startin with the JR-7Fa that took a laser ount of each arm and put one in the head and one in the centre torso then at various times DHS were added, FF armour, ER medium lasers , Clan tech ( I think the last was later than 3062)
