Also put like this. Take the venerable LCT-1V Locust. A nice mech. If I had a 160 XL sitting in stores, for whatever reason. I'd be damn tempted to mount it in the Locust. Why? I would gain 3 tons to play with. I could literally double it's weapons load! I could walk it out of the Tech shed with a twin med laser turret, quad MG's and side torso mounted small lasers(2). All while it retains the Locust's looks. And I only changed one thing to make it possible. The engine. Try that in 3025 and you'd have to weaken it's armor pretty bad or slow it down. But it's still a scout mech. Now it could even be an effective strike mech.

Wow, this is the longest debate on the merits of a mech and its reviews i've seen in quite awhile...
We need to do this more often  it brings a lotta stuff out. Lotsa critical thinking.

Neg I was not treating it as an attack but rather as an opportunity to explain How I grade mechs ...something that people have a RIGHT to know Since I have made a critique of EVERY light mech out there I feel I owe everybody including yourself an explanation of my thinking so you know where I am coming from and whether or not my critiques apply as Mordel has stated he likes to see multiple reviews precisely because different people have different tactical philosophies and generally will give different grades based on that. Neg far from being an attack I feel you gave me a good opportunity to explain myself...Thank you.

LOL, nope
Some of my mechs I just dont write fluff for. For instance my rebuild of Seraph's Dragon. Or mechs I do just for fun.
