Methinks that kinda balances it out.

Based on the amount that I know about Vagabond and the very little I know of Emmy I have been able to figure out one important thing...
...she's way too good for him.

I always liked the outlook another internet friend of mine has. He was working on an oil rig in Texas when one of the huge drill shafts fell on him and broke his back. The doctors told him that he is lucky to be alive because that fall would have killed most men. So he goes around bragging that he took a hit from a steel pipe that 'would have killed most mortal men, all it did was paralize me from the waist down.' (his exact words) I have the utmost respect for people that are injured like that and are able to move on with their lives.
Makes me feel guilty if I complain about nicking myself shaving.

My wife almost played once, but then she took one look at the rule book and said no.

My girlfriend hates it, so its a good job my best friend is a games freak like me, we have spent our whole lives introducing each other to games. Right back in the days of Pokemon and Digimon! Star Wars, Heroquest, And now Battletech!
We used to play a really cool game with my vintage SW figures, we would each pick a team, (I had around 60figures, got more now) and i used to build catapaults out of lego, taking it in turns, first one to knock over each overs men wins! Simple but effective

well....yes that was the point.
It was actually a real laugh doing this kinda think though. Given that i was a bit younger (im still only 18, so i guess im a real newbie compared to some of you old timers)
And if you have any time on your hands, try sorting through two large bin bags of pokemon cards and filling two large folders of individual cards, man that took me days, thank god im not into pokemon cards anymore.

Well i hope those old times are pleased that a few of the young guns are taking up battletech. I got into the game around november last year and have got at least 5 other people playing the game occasionally. And one who i play regularly, we're all between 19 and 16.

But half the fun is blowing up mad cats!
Yeah, the decor around here is great. When I finally revise my website to include a "this week at the SMSU Unofficial Gamers Club" section I might add a link to it (unless Mordel would be massively upset by such a thing).
The SUGC (I just made that up four lines ago. I think I'll find a new name by tommorrow) hovers around nine members, all college students, and our first semester we had six girls and three guys, counting the GM (that would be me). That lasted exactly one semester, but the game is still open to all sexes, provided they don't want to try and negotiate with the guy they're supposed to kill tonight.
It's also nice when they don't kill the uber-bad guy in three rounds. I am outlawing the grenade launcher next time we play SW. Actually, I think I'm just banning SW3rdE. I'll go back to the D6 system. I liked that one. _________________ "Politics is the Art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, misdiagnosing the problem, and applying the wrong solution."

I bought my first mechs about 18 years ago. 16 plastic ones. Still got them. Bought the game and put the lot in the loft.I got them out about 4 months ago to sell them on Ebay when my son said he would like to play. He plays a lot of warhammer stuff and is an excellent painter so all of a sudden I have a ready made opponent who I can send to bed if he beats me . over the last 4 months I think we must have spent about £450 on mechs and manuals. _________________ "Thats the fastest race ever ran. Ouch, at least you have someone to play, most of the people i got into the game only play once every 12months. My best friend only plays a few times a year (when we have time to meet up). So i kinda buy new things and manuals but have to weight ages to play em!
