the more you create mechs, sooner or latter they start repeating.

Interesting, but there is no need to alter the weapons on the Sultan, I am sorry that you feel it is to hot for you, but it fits the relam of 3025 style of mechs and then again the heat shouldn't be a problem, IF you know how to use the mech...

Please, share the knowledge and give us a run-down of the proper use of this machine.
Sell this machine to me. As of now I am all that stands between you and billions in construction and spare parts. If you fail you company goes under and you go to jail for fraud and debt.
Why should I purchase this design over say the Stalker?

And what happens if I want to run?
You could gain similar results by firing two LRMs + 1 PPC. Next turn just fire the LRMs.
OR 2-1-2-1 using only PPCs.
In all of the above examples there is wasted tonnage in weapons not being fired every round.
Why not drop a PPC, add heat sinks and keep up a stead rate of fire from the LRMs and single remaining PPC. If ammo is a worry use some of the tonnage from the PPC you dropped.

no, i'm sorry......
i'm very much a 3025 player, with dabbles in 3050.
your machine generates 20 heat on a ppc shot, plus 2 if you run.. for a total of 22 heat. you sink 16 of that, and end up with 6.... even jocking your ppc's at 2:1:2 dosen't counter this heat. your lrm's being ammo weapons mean most ppl won't fire on a 9+... were they will with ppc's. it only needs 2 heat sinks more IMHO.
you can fire ppc then lrm's to cover the heat, but Your SOL if you run out of ammo or they close to min. AND Three Medium Lasers are not going to scare anything big enough to come after this SLOW and under heat sinked monster. A mech this size should AND NEEDS to sustain fire every turn.
so, might drop 1 lrm 15 for 2 heat sinks and upgrade the other to a LRM 20 and ammo, atleast 3 tons. also you need something to cover your but.

Did anyone think of this...sit back use only the LRMs then once you have hurt the other side move in and rely on the PPCs...Yes you build up some heat. Yes it hurts you but you are doing 20 points of damage and can always alternate your fire to keep things from become to hot. Besides, once again, WHO said you would be Alpha Striking everytime you fired?
Sorry but this mech is built to give long range attacks THEN move into medium range and exploit what it can from those long range hits.

Duel PPCs and a LRM 20 would be a wicked fire support machine, especially if it had the heat sinks to sustain fire the PPCs and throw the LRMs in every other turn or so.
PPCs only have a min of 3, so you shouldn't need too large of a close range arsenal. If nothing else you can always slug it out with your fist and feet.

I wouldn't do any of those to this mech because its not my design and I would never field it. I believe there are better mechs for it's role.
But for a 3025 design it isn't bad, with a lot of "character".

If the above scenario is what you designed the machine for then you should be using Large Lasers for your medium ranged weapons, something aline the lines of which Vagabond suggested.

No I shouldn't be using Large Lasers. Once again the idea of the mech is to hurt then close for the kill.
The close range weapons are the mediums. They are there to cover the PPCs and to provide support against infantry etc...so the need to close into less then 7-9 hexes isn't needed. Thus the PPCs work just fine as would the large lasers.

and i can fly.
what if and when your opponet closes range and has a better sustained rate of fire, are you going to do.... he keeps pressing you hard using say a thunderbolt, he sits at 4 hex range blasting away.... your lrm's are damn near useless and even if you fire your ppc's 2:1:2 your building up heat each turn, degrading your machines abilities untill you shut down or are forced to stop firing to cool down..... and then he's got you.
i'm sorry, for its size and weapons it just dosen't cut it. i'll take something else thank you., character or not.
