Aff and what made it especialy sweet was that he had been bragging about how bad-ass that custom Cicada variant was ...And it got pwned by a 25 tonner with out firing a shot I got directly behind him so he was not able to even return fire on me.

Aren't Cicadas able to flip their arms?

Yes, but it doesn't help when you don't have any weapons there.

Had to go with lights. I design for all weight classes and play all weight classes, but I'm still drawn back to the lighter side of the spectrum. I like fast, lights are fast. I like challenging, lights are challenging. I hate taking damage, and the heavier, slower mechs take damage more than I find comfortable. Lights can't take much punishment so you manuever them to minimize your hits and maximize your shots.

By gosh, you're right. With those winglets in the picture, I just assumed the lasers were in the arms. Silly me.

Jymset,

You deal realize that that "Real Men Drive Locusts" is an AWAD Trade Mark and Copyright. You own me some cash...... or the right of a duel since you dished me and my love of the 2 legged Pod Insect Mech from Hell. I will take your heavy Mech and paper cut it to death........

But for pure fun, I have to say medium gives the most variance and options. I like heavies also, just depends of my mood. But I play to play and have fun. Do not care what I drive. Challenges are the most fun and playing against and with stuff you do not know adds to the enjoyment.

Locusts are actually one of the hardest Mechs to handle. Thus I like to say it takes someone that knows what they are doing to manage it correctly. I put the Stalker, Commando, Grand Dragon, and Whitworth in this category. Effective Mechs, but you can easily get owned and wiped out.

But it always comes to this, duel vs. campaign/scenario.

Hahahaha! My apologies, dear sir! Of course I know it has been your trademark for many years!

No matter whether you accept my apologies, I will always be up for a duel on MegaMek, if you so should desire!

Just can't get rid of the image of Thunderbolt's shadow slowly crawling over the cockpit, when it stood next to smoking ruin of my dragon. I know that was just a training simulation, but I still get up screaming ! Definitely I prefer heavies (mediums, assaults and lights in that order)

It's interesting that no one at all likes assaults. Why is that?

Because of their limited use. Mediums and Heavies can be used in a variety of roles, from fighting on the battle line to scouting to raiding-in-force. Assaults are too big and too slow to do anything but fight on the line and pound other machines into scrap.

Heavy. 4 of my 5 favorite Mechs are heavies the Penetrator, the Flashman, the Grasshopper, and the Guillotine. and for anyone who is wondering the last of my top 5 is the Wolfhound.

Lights all the way. Those back shots really hurt and it's just fun annoying people with them. Plus my fav. mech is a light. The good o' Raptor. Plus it's just fun charging into larger opponenets who foolishly get in my way.
