Don't wise men say something about AC/20s? Take an AC/20 if you want to scare people, bring SRMs if you really want to kill them. The Thug's got two SRM-6 racks, perfect for crit-seeking at short range.
I do agree on the fight being more even in 3025. The Victor will just have to be patient and try to outmanuever the Thug. Not an easy thing to do, but possible thanks to the jump jets.

ONly thing onthe 3025 Victor is that the heat becomes even more of a problem. He still can only disappate 15 heat but now generates 20 heat from full jump and full weapons fire. Though it can keep cooler by firing the AC then firing the SRM. It gives you a big hole then some crit seeking and also removes the ammo. Save the mediums for when you want to give a little extra and for after some of your ammo is gone. Though without jumping more weapons can be fired while keeping heat managable.
IMO heat management was one of the great things about the older designs. If you have to work out what to fire and when to fire as well as where to move and what your opponent's doing, it's a more challenging game then just runn up and blow em apart. While the smash and bash games have a cecrtain appeal at times, if I want to do that I go play CS or CoH. _________________ If ignorance is bliss, then why are you so miserable?

That's why I want to being the Victor in behind the Thug...or stay on the flanks, that way he only gets a single shot at me. The Victor carries a lot of AC/20 ammo so you can afford to roll it at nines and tens and not worry too much about running dry, so you can jump pretty freely.

Hey Nightmare, can I use your quote? Really do like it.
I have always felt the same way. The PPC SRM combo is on of the best. The AC/20 is to be used as an anvil or cattle prod, not the sharpe killing point.
AWAD- A 5/8 AC/20 mech in 3025, is brutal...

It's not my quote. I just can't remember who said it and exactly how it was formulated.
