The occasional lance vs lance is fun, as is general mayhem in arena duels. The best is still campaign play. Winning the first scenario and then realizing you're short on the UAc5 ammo for the next one gives a whole new perspective on things. Not that the UAc5 ammo was needed, the WVR-7D that used it was killed by a Spider in the next engagement Jump-behind-back, both MPLs hit the left side torso - and detonated the SRM ammo. Goodbye XL engine, we haven't got the time to repair you before this contract is over.

I'm lucky if I can play at all, so campaigns are out of the question. Duels really have no interest for me. Lance-on-Lance is fun, but I prefer company on company, but it's really time consuming, and frakly I like having to think my way through a scenario. Mission objectives are more fun than just kill-'em-all. Both sides can win or lose at the same time and that's just kind of neat.

I don't play MechWarrior so that option really doesn't apply.

And I enjoy designing scenarios, so I'm a bit biased I guess.
