And boy was it taking a while to load, even with DSL it was slow.

Definitely need to see the cost. Never a big fan of electronic format. I wonder if it will be something that can be downloaded and put into Word and printed. Would be easier for sure. We'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, very slow. I betcha they're using evilnet like CBT does. ... better off paying a fairly cheap price for a better host, like mine. Does anyone recall having serious problems with this site since I moved it here?

I just wanted to point out that Warner has confirmed that it will contain fiction from ALL times during the BTech timeline...from pre-Star League fiction, to 3067 and beyond...
Many people have been begging for this for years...now, we have it...
BTW...I'm on a dialup, and I haven't noticed any extended loading periods that others have... *shrug*

I havent had much issue with it. it will load but it is a very long process. It actually feels like I am back on Dialup when I load the site.

I believe this is a regional problem. From the south I've got no problem on dial-up or on my demi-T1 (an unregulated DSL). I've had others say the same thing from different locations. Sometimes it does get bogged down, but that may well be due to traffic. I've just about optimzed every picture and logo on the site to insure that what ever is downloaded it comes up faster.
I am in the middle of a redesign that will promote speed and a more quality download. I essence I'm changing over the site to SHTML, which I find easier to work with than PHP (of which I am studying to learn too.) I hope that by the time I've finished that the site will scream no matter what is used for a connection.
