I am dueling the Pretender
Kiris is dueling the mouthy one
No cross targetting until you kill your opponent. Clanners are free to wait until that battle finishes before getting involved.. up to them.
Use your PBEM rules.
If the Clanner hides for longer then 3 rounds, he loses.. I don't hide, at least not from a Clanner.
Equal BV mechs/Pilots
Sounds easy..
The race is a long time from finishing, so let's get it on here (shrug)

(chuckle) At this point I've forgotten who I was challenged by.

If you can fight someone and lose initiative every round of the battle and still win, then your opponent sucked.
In a battle of two equal opponents, given the randomness of a die roll on weapon fire etc.., the advantage that one gets while knowing exactly where your opponent has moved should be difficult to screw up.

Well I had a long drawn out explaination of this statement, but my system logged me off and I lost 10 mins of typing. When I made that statement Pinhead, I was not boasting on ragging on my opponent. I was basically overstating the fact that BT is a tactical simulation game. So yes winning initiative can turn the tide of the battle. What I was attempting to state is that losing the initiative for most of the game does not guarantee a loss. All that is means is that the tactics that you use have to be changed to fit the current problem. When losing the initiative I try to either pull the opponent out of their comfort zone or else push them where they do not want to be. Occasionally this leaves one of my mechs out numbered, but if I can lose the initiative most of the game and still out think my opponent, then it is a much sweeter victory. This game is not completely about luck. If it was, then it would cease to be fun.

The rules as chihawk has set them up have basically removed initiative as a factor so it will be decided by the best tactical use of the equipment fielded
