Okay I am looking for idea on which form of craft should I use to make the Republic Gunship (LAAT/i) from SW2...

Should I go with the Small Craft, Aerodyne DS, or a VTOL for this?

Also I know it has 3 anti-infantry lasers, 2 missiles launchers, 8 air to air rockets (not sure how this one be done via AT2) and a cargo hold that can hold a platoon of infantry.

So which do you folks think would be the best vessels or craft for this?

Sounds like a small craft to me, a VTOL is going to be too light.

it would have to be a V/STOL capable craft.

and you forgot that it carried 4 swoops also.

then on top of that, you need a vehicle carrier variant.

so keep your options open.

oh.... i just checked the info on the LAAT.....

the rockets are fired from the mass drivers... and there are 4 turrets: 1 on each side, 1 on each wing.

Yes had all that via DK books on the moives...I think I came close...I am thinking of making a second version that is all cargo...any ideas for that one?

i'd say that it atleast has to have a vehicle bay.... prefreably a 100ton bay, but a 50t is ok.

ie: it drops off the walkers and stuff.

Right, but I am not sure about the AT-TE...I mean it's a sixed walking APC...not sure how to do that one...

I will play around with the LAAT and see what I can come up with for the cargo version....

How close do you think I came with my version compared to the original?

well, your 2 missile systems over, and 2 lasers under.

plus your nose guns should be the same as your rear gun.

i like the thunders, but i think your door gunner like lasers should be straight lasers and not pulses. remember that there are also 2 wing mounted laser exactly like the door lasers.

Thought about that, but I wasn't sure how to do the two door mounts...so I went with the wing mounts instead...

Side mounted. For Aero type that would be wing mounted since you cannot have side mount as you would for Spheriod?

Uhmmm have you seen SW2? And the battle sceen where the clone troops arrvive and fight the droids?
