only thing i would add: use a LAC/2 over an AC/2.

I would move the ER LL to the left side and get it away from the ammo. Currently if you have ammo go you go from 4 long range weapons to one.

Not if he wants to stay tournament-legal. Besides for a SL I wouldn't bother. It's better to keep full ammo load and get AP or Precision.

I got to playing again last night, and in the process I realized something.

I somehow switched the locations of the AC/2 and the large laser.

The laser should be in the torso, while the autocannon should be in the arm.

Heh, small lasers are rarely worth the effort. unless you are severly limited with weapons space and you have the mens to get within 2 hexes of the enemy, do it quick and survive the experience. Repeatedly preferrably.
