Overview:
Designed by Xanadu Combat Works (XCW) the Paladin is intended to engage mechs at
long range. Built on the reinforced chassis of a Banshee, the Paladin is the first
attempt by XCW to create a assault mech.
When Quinten Rush found the 20 abandoned chassis he decided to try and refurbish
then at his factory on Xanadu. to that point XCW had only worked on some vehicle
and infantry weapons. looking to expand to mech repair and construction, the
family run business started by scouring salvage yards for mechs that were easy to
repair and resell. The 20 chassis were in fair shape but required alot of work to
re purpose, and by the end of the redesign phase now weighed in at 100 tons.
Capabilities:
A long range bruiser the Paladin so far in simulation has fared well. it has yet
to be delivered to any unit other than the 701st Holy Warriors, though that has
only happened because the new CO is his youngest son.
A pair of new Zeus Slingshot Gauss rifles make up the main armament of the Paladin
secondary weapons consist of 3 Magna Mk 3 large lasers and and 4 Magna Mk 2 medium
lasers round out the weaponry. 12 double strength freezers help control the mech's
waste heat. But a close eye on the heat guage is advised.
Deployment:
So far 4 have been deployed with the 701st Holy Warriors a new unit deployed for
pirate hunting duty out along the Turian Concordat. They are being, evaluated for
AFFC forces, by the unit and a additional 4 have been divided between ComStar and
the Davion Guards.

There's already an official Paladin mech. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)

Reminds me of the Thunder Hawk and other similar mechs. _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

Hmm didnt know there was a Paladin already. What source book is it in?
But renaming it is easy enough. _________________ Stinger If it's "creepy" to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous young models so I can drop in on them unexpected, then FINE, I'm "creepy". Howard Wolowitz. BBT.

It's in Record Sheets: 3055 Upgrades Unabridged. The source a given unit appears in (not only the latest, but all of them) is listed on the unit page (see Kraken's link). _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

It originally appeared in the original Solaris VII boxed set as one of several "arena" mechs. Some of these mechs were based on artwork created by Victor Entertainment for the game's release in Japan so that the borrowed mecha images were not in use there. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Man, I have to go through all of my books just to see how far behind I am. I think the last source book I got was 3060.
So what should I go with for the name. I had a few different names I was planning on.
Dark Stalker
Hunter
Dark Titan _________________ Stinger If it's "creepy" to use the Internet, military satellites, and robot aircraft to find a house full of gorgeous young models so I can drop in on them unexpected, then FINE, I'm "creepy". Howard Wolowitz. BBT.

There's no way for you to modify designs at the moment, so I edited the name for you. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
