As it presently stands, the line-up for the current party is:
custom Guillotine - PPC, 2 * SRM 4, 7 * medium laser ; regular pilot
custom Ostscout - medium laser, 6 * small laser, Bloodhound Active Probe, Angel ECM ; green pilot
custom Sentinel - RAC/5, medium laser, SRM 2 ; regular pilot
custom Firestarter - 3025 model w/ additional SRM 2.
Mission - Dragon's Gate
3050 Grand Dragon * 4 ; regular pilots
The lance is guarding a pass through the mountains, a pass that the party needs to get through.
Primary objective: all four party members must move through the pass
Secondary objective: neutralize all four Grand Dragons
Mission - Hornet's Nest
3050 Wasp * 6 ; green
3050 Raven * 2 ; regular
3050 Warhammer ; veteran
3050 Marauder ; elite
Intel has identified a mechwarrior training academy in use by the OPFOR. The cadets take turns operating a series of six Wasp mechs under the supervision of two instructors. A high-ranking senior NCO and a high-ranking officer are also believed to be on staff. This facility needs to be neutralized before it can train any more pilots, and the party is the only force in the immediate area capable of launching a full-scale assault.
Primary Objective: Destroy all enemy mechs to facilitate capture of compound.
Secondary Objective: Destroy Marauder and Warhammer to sew confusion among the cadets.
Tertiary Objective: Destroy Ravens and Wasps to slow training.
Mission - Springing The Trap
2 * Behemoth tank ; regular
4 * Tracked APC ; regular
4 * squads infantry ; regular
Forward scouts have discovered that a cavalry unit has taken position along a key road; the OPFOR has taken advantage of the road's unpaved (re: gravel) nature to bury mines, the plan being that any escorts would be disabled or destroyed while the ambushers prey on the helpless convoy vehicles.
The party is to escort a fake engineering unit consisting of two modified engineering vehicles (SRM 4, SRM 2 w/ Inferno, 4 * machine guns) and four remote-controlled APCs. Their mission is to spring the trap and force back the OPFOR so that the road can be cleared. Four Ferret "gunships" (a half ton of armor and a machine gun in lieu of the infantry bay) are on standby, but the party must first neutralize the LRM launchers on the Behemoths.
Primary objective: neutralize all OPFOR forces.
Secondary objective: neutralize both Behemoth tanks.
Tertiary objective: neutralize all OPFOR APCs and infantry. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)

Warhammer/Marauder setup might be a bit much for the players, but that would depend on how well they work as team and move to take those out. Other wise things look pretty even again if the players work as team and don't grand stand too much.
Question will they go from the first scenario to the next with a few hours or days of each other? _________________ Karagin Only the dead have seen the end of war. - Plato

"Dragon's Gate" will probably be a simulator mission that the players will go through; two of the party members are new to the game, and one of them is playing a "green" character who got percussively subliminated up into the cockpit after he invented a new ELINT device.
Not sure about the other two.
edit -
For "Hornet's Nest", I'm thinking of staggering the roll-out.
The Wasps will be there during the first round; the party will ambush them.
The Ravens will come in during round 4 (or whenever the Wasps die, whichever comes first), the explanation being that the Ravens have heard the distress calls.
The Warhammer will come in during round 8 (or whenever the Ravens die, whichever comes first), the explanation being that the old sarge was already in the cockpit but a little further away.
The Marauder will come in during round 12 (or whenever the Warhammer dies, whichever comes first), with the old sarge (if still alive) making a crack about the commandant taking his dear sweet time getting suited up.
If the party does it right, then they'll have four rounds to kill each wave before the next one shows up. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Scenario: Beach-Head & Breaker
OPFOR:
1 GLT-9X Guilotine. Pilot CSM Sneeden, 0 / 0
CPL Kibbey
Party:
All pilots are in 3RJ model Stingers
Objective
This is a straight-forward training mission.
A sheet of metal is hung by chains from a large tower assembly. The pilots - all cadets - must cross the training field and "ring" the "bell" (re: the sheet of metal) by punching it. Opposing them will be CSM Sneeden, who will attempt to stop them from reaching it. CPL Kibbey, who is monitoring the training from a field command facility, will provide feedback to the pilots as they go along. Both men will sharply criticize mistakes.
As CSM Sneeden will explain once the battle is over: "The goal of this assignment was never about taking me down... as if that could happen. We here in the AFNN have the tech but not the mechs. Or pilots. Every single unit here is under-manned, such that we have so-called lances composed of individual mechs. We can not afford any losses because someone decided to be a 'hero'. In other words, we need you to use your brains. If you don't need to pick a fight, don't do it. And if you're outmatched, just run and squeal for help." _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." How many Stinger pilots and how many turns in a straight line until one of them could realistically reach the bell? _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

The bell would be on the opposite end of a map sheet.
I was thinking at least six Stingers. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)

If it's only 1 map sheet and there's at least 6 stinger's, ringing that bell will be extremely easy. At best you can only take out 1 a turn. It takes 4 turns for the stingers to get to the bell. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

...assuming, of course, the players are smart enough to ignore the Guillotine and not try to gang up on it. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." If they don't race immediately for the bell they are dumb players. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com

I think even rookies would know better than to attack a 0/0 BattleMech with Stingers. Especially if the objective is essentially "avoid it and ring the bell". It only takes 1 with common sense to realize this, and even if he doesn't want to let the others in, he can use them as shields as he skirts around you to ring the bell while you are bust killing off the idiots. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

"This Is Real!"
Party: All members are in 3RJ Stingers. There are also two support vehicles per mech.
OPFOR: 1 Nexus mech per 2 Stingers. 4 / 4 stats
Scenario: The original plan called for CSM Sneeden to lead the cadets and others on an extended field mission so that the assorted cadets have experience operating from a field headquarters instead of a physical base.
However, a Blakist assault group has chosen this time to launch an attack. CSM Sneeden, the infantry cadets, and the armor cadets will hold off the heavier units, but the party must escort the support vehicles back to base. However, some of the Blakist skirmishers have made it to the flanks, and so must be kept from killing the support vehicles.
The party's primary objective is to keep the support vehicles alive. The secondary objective is to keep themselves alive. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." I didn't even notice the Guillotine was 0/0. That makes the scenario even more silly. _________________ www.210sportsblog.com
