OK, so I'm doing a host of updates (good ones, I hope) to the TRO section. I've got the ability to generate a design in MegaMek format done (will allow you to create a mech here and export it for use with MegaMek). I've also made good progress on generating actual PDF record sheets. I'm doing the armor pips now (boy is it tedious!!!) I've attached it so far with what I've done. Still got most of the armor and internal pips to do as well as the distribution chart. Would love some initial thoughts, and if you'd like me to upload a sample of a design on here, let me know.

I'm also going to implement searching as well as BV2 before I upload the changes.

While you are working on the armor pips you can use a work around/option that simply lists the starting #s in each area and then players can cross the numbers out and write the new one below or to the side of it. I have personally found it far easier to track armor this way then to cross off individual armor pips.

Starting numbers are listed in each area on the record sheet, next to the location name. So you'll have what you like and those of us who love coloring in each pip perfectly will have what we like. Smile

Also, can I suggest some possible enhancements to the base sheet?

If you look in the middle of the sheet, I have removed the cockpit graphic and inputted commonly used to-hit modifiers. Note- this was edited for a custom idea and my numbers will not work, but you could add a similar item to your TRO printouts.

You could also add the to-hit modifiers next to the movement points and range categories such as i did to my sheet.

If all of this standard 3025/3050 modifiers were included on the sheet, then you wouldn't need to reference any tables.

Last idea: I didn't get to it yet on my own, but you could also add in small print next to each hit location code that reads such as 08/07/08 or 04-05/10-11/10 or 10/3-4/4-5. In other words its hit location number for the left/front/right. However, its might just be easier to include a small hit location table somewhere on the sheet instead. You can look at Solaris Skunk Werks to see what I mean about the table.

There was an option to print a chart there, but I just assumed everyone knew that stuff! Smile

I'll have a look at it again. I don't want to clutter the sheet with too many charts. I always liked the big printouts better than the compressed ones with all the tables. But I'll see if maybe there are some bits of info more useful than others to have in that area.

And chihawk, the only to-hit charts you've memorized are, oddly enough, the right and left side ones!!

i have the front chart as well as the most basic mods memorized, but i like the idea of them on the sheet for less 'dedicated' players.
