Custom unit for an NPC of mine.
I didn't like the fact that the only short-range weapon in the mix needed ammo, so I decided to do some tinkering.
The array of lasers doesn't have the individual knock-down punch of the auto-cannon, but the spread can easily do more damage if everything hits, especially in conjunction with the SRMs and machine guns.

| I think a better name for this aerospace fighter would be Broadsword. A rapier is a very thin sword and given how this aerospace fighter masses 85 tons, well, the name Broadsword seems to fit better. I could imagine this aerospace fighter performing escort duty.

It's a canon fighter from the TRO:2750; I just took off the AC/20 from the original and slapped on a whole slew of medium lasers in its place.
