The fluff text says that the Bushwacker is supposed to be a long-range support unit, but after playing Mechwarrior a few times I've come to the realization that it's far better off as a straight-up brawler.
Thing is, XL engine + lots of ammo = bad things happening. This mod here was my way of minimizing the amount of ammo carried - and thus minimizing the risk of an ammo explosion bringing down the whole mech - while still maintaining roughly the same level and type of firepower.
I got to meditating on the problem while in church today and came up with the idea to replace the AC/10 with a PPC (re: I fell asleep in sacrament meeting and it came to me after I woke up ). The idea to swap out the machine guns for the flamers and the idea to use the extra weight to downgrade to a light engine came from an earlier attempt at resolving the matter.

I like this design. I think you should replace one of the flamers with a turreted machine gun & ammo.
