It's not really taking effect as I thought it would, on firefox. No matter what the setting (percentage, or on/off) it doesn't change the transparency of the BG picture when browsing the site. I think it wasn't like that at the start of this year. Before I registered, too.
Is it a purposeful part of this site or a browser bug? Topics are a bit cluttered with the contrast of the GB picture.

Seems to work ok for me and I use Firefox. What are your current settings for Opacity? Can you also post a screenshot of what you see when you browse the site, with regards to the transparency and how it looks for you? _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Running Firefox 13.0.1 - transparency is set to off and opacity is at 100 percent. Still it seems like this: i.imgur.com/pmY1S.jpg
Curious, but not really crippling.

Ahhh... yes, that's a known bug. A while back the server did something and the entire site was kind of FUBAR'd. It all looked like that. I've been in the process of fixing the site, page-by-page. I haven't had a ton of time, so some pages still look off. But eventually they will get fixed! The ones that are broken here on the forums are still next on my list to tackle.

These have been fixed within the forums now. I hit the last of the areas (viewing a forum and posting) yesterday and today. If anyone should notice any oddities to appearance anywhere, let me know. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

This issue should be addressed everywhere now. If you find anything or see any other areas where the page doesn't quite look right, please let me know! _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
